The Franciscan Sisters T.O.R. (Third Order Regular) of Penance of the Sorrowful Mother were founded in 1988, emerging from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Called to join the Sorrowful Mother at the foot of the Cross, the Sisters receive Christ's Mercy found on Calvery and bring it out into the world through their work with the Poor. Their Motherhouse is located in Toronto, OH, but they also serve on a couple college campuses - including the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
